Be a bronzed babe

When summer arrives many of us are quick to get into the swing of things, from the wardrobe to the make-up.

Whether it's sunny where you are or not, you can't go wrong with a spot of bronzer this season and it doesn't matter what your complexion is, you can make it work!

Bridget O'Keeffe, owner of Blush and Blow beauty salon, shares her top tips for starting out.

"The key to getting the correct bronzer for your skin tone is to know whether you have a warm or cool complexion and then shop around accordingly," she told Cover Media.

There's a few ways to find out if you're warm or cool, one of which is checking the veins on the inside of your wrist. If they appear blue you have cooler undertones, whereas those that seem almost green indicate a warm undertone. Another way you can get an answer is with your jewellery, as cool undertones typically look better in silver while warm-toned ladies tend to rock gold.

Now we bring you some options for each.

Cool

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer not only smells indulgent but it actually has cocoa powder in it! And thanks to its matte finish it will add a perfect touch of warmth without looking too dramatic; it also neutralises red patches and evens out your skin tone. Or try Sisley Paris Phyto-Touche Illusion d'Été, which has a cream like consistency to glide on effortlessly for a subtle glow. It illuminates and covers up any blemishes - win win!

Warm

NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna is said to give the "ultimate healthy glow" for those with warm, yellow undertones. It enhances a natural tan too with a slight sparkle, making it great to wear out in the sunshine. There's also Clinique's True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunblushed, a reddened bronze that will enhance your natural warmth and glow. Gorgeous!

Or, if you're not sure, Bridget has a suggestion up her sleeve.

"There are some really great bronzers on the market that help you to 'cheat' your way around choosing the correct colour," she revealed. "Benefit's Hoola bronzer is one in a powder form, and Chanel's Soleil Tan Bronze Complexion is a creamy one. Both textures have their benefits but mostly it will just come down to preference."Read more at:prom dresses online | prom dresses liverpool
